Contributory Parent, Parent and Other Family visa allocation FY 2022-23
The Department of Home Affairs just specifies the allocation of the number of places to these visa classes:
Contributory Parent visas
A maximum of 6,800 visas may be granted for the 2022-2023 financial year, up from 3,600 in the previous year.
Of the maximum number of Contributory Parent visas, a maximum of 112 visas may be granted to applicants for the Contributory Parent Visa Migrant, Class CA who hold or who last held SC 405 Investor Retirement or SC 410 Retirement visas and who are seeking to satisfy either:
- the primary criteria in Sch 2, Clause 143.214, or
- the secondary criteria Sch 2, Clause 143.313.
Parent Visas
A maximum of 1,700 Parent visas may be granted in the 2022- 2023 financial year, up from 900 in the previous year.
Of the maximum number of Parent visas, a maximum of 13 visas may be granted to applicants for the Parent (Migrant) (Class AX) visa who hold or who last held C 405 Investor Retirement or SC 410 Retirement visas and are seeking to satisfy either:
- the primary criteria set out in Sch 2, Clause 143.214, or
- the secondary criteria set out in Sch 2, Clause 143.313.
Other Family visas
A maximum of 500 Other Family visas may be granted in the 2022-2023 financial year, the same number as in the previous year.
